Responding to Janet Albrechtsen once more

Janet's blog on the Australian today trots out one of her (and the rest of the loony right's) favourite sets of stock phrases namely those relating to Communist control of the Australian education system and the Rudd government's complicity in said. There are many intelligent things to be said about teh state of education in Australia. JA does not say any of them so I don't think we need to give them a run here either. Her commenters have provided much amusesment to Claudia and Rheiner today however:

Blogcommenter:
5 years ago my daughter was in a public school and getting isolated by
her peers because she refused to swear and use foul language. Her
teacher noticed the isolation and wanted her to do councelling. When I
pointed out what had been going on and that we chose not to make a fuss
she was flabergasted, especially if I asked if she would address the
provoking and at times bullying behavior of the other students. She was
flustered and did not want ot take action and said "I am only doing what
my employers want me to do". I said remember that I as a taxpayer am
your ultimate employer indirectly and if you will not address the other
students I will not subject my child to your "counselling". To cut a
long story short we put our children in a private school (my daughter is
currently the School Captain) and about 2 years ago the ringleader of
the bullies contacted my daughter to apoligise for her behavior at the
public school. My main point out of all this is that public schools
need to remember whom they are set up for and who ultimately pays their
wages, not some nameless beauracracy, but you and I, the taxpayer. The
silence over the phone from the teacher when I told her that was
priceless.

CVM:
Bullying people with no bargaining power? What a chivalrous soul.
Also - it probably wasn't because she refused to use foul language but
because she was a nasty little sh*t who took after her mother. Hence
doing well in a private school.

Rheiner:
Also: "public schools need to remember whom they are set up for and who
ultimately pays their wages, not some nameless beauracracy, but you and
I, the taxpayer. The silence over the phone from the teacher when I told
her that was priceless."
Is all very "don't you know who I am". Love.

Also: School Captain? Doesn't use foul language? PREASE. We all know
that after 2 six packs of breezers she was probably the football team's
bonding experience.

Extra question: Janet Albrechtsen - the poor man's Ann Coulter?

And it couldn't happen to a more deserving soul.
